The benefits of drinking water

Because summer is almost here I taught that an article on the benefits of drinking water would be useful. Just consider this: 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. Why? They have access to fresh water, don`t they? They sure do, but… they do not drink enough water, instead, they prefer to drink soda juice, coffee, alcohol, etc. Sometimes they don`t even know that they are thirsty; actually in 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
You see fat people all over the place, well, even mild dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 3%. Now you see one of the reasons why they get fat so easily. Lots of people are wining that they are tired all the time.. I suppose that they do not know that lack of water is the number one trigger of daytime fatigue.
There is at least one more thing worth mentioning, drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, slashes the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and decreases the risk of bladder cancer by 50%.
So, have a glass of water, sit back, relax and enjoy a healthy life.
